Sermon Series

Ash Wednesday 2018

“For dust you are and to dust you shall return.” (Genesis 3:19)

Ash Wednesday, observed by Christians around the world, marks the beginning of Lent—a dedicated time of reflection, fasting, and prayer in anticipation for Easter. As we experience worship, communion, and prayer on Ash Wednesday, our hearts are prepared to better understand the weight of sin, and in turn the power of the resurrection. Observing the Lenten season reminds us that Christ made it possible, by the cross, for our sins to be forgiven.
