The Church is more than brick and mortar. It is the heartbeat of God’s mission being carried out by His people. God has instructed us that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians 6:19 and as such, we honor God with our bodies by using our unique giftedness to Be the Church in action. The prophet Haggai called for the people of that time to get busy prioritizing the building of God’s house and Be the Church for the greater good of God’s mission. The challenge continues today. What if by volunteering there was more FOR you than what was being asked of you? What does it mean to Be the Church?
