Teach Us to Pray: Week 6
Julia Holtze • 03/25/18
“Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name” (Luke 11:2, NKJV). These renowned words were spoken by Jesus in response to His disciples’ request, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1, NKJV). On the surface, this may seem like a simple question, yet Jesus’ response reveals something much greater about His heart and ministry. The scriptures that follow, known as The Lord’s Prayer, serve as a pathway – a powerful tool for growing as disciples of Christ. In this prayer we see our Father directly through the eyes of Jesus. In turn, we discover a vibrant Kingdom way of life that is everlasting, empowering, and filled with hope.
